"Access is Denied" when trying to join domain

We are trying to add a W2K member server to a 2003 domain. We can map to other (2003) member servers but cannot map to the DC's, although we can ping them. When we try to join the w2k server to the domain we get an access denied error. We believe that the problem is occurring on the w2k side, some security setting is pooched, but can't track it down. Any suggestions where to look? Thanks.

Verify that the server you want to join the domain only lists your internal DNS and not ISP DNS.

Thanks, we got it. There was something in the local security policy causing trouble. Not sure what it was; one of our other guys got it sorted out.
