last night during the system boot of the server it said "1 drive degraded" and the drive was blinking orange instead of solid/blinking green. it was the mirror drive for the OS drive (RAID 1)...so drive 1 that was mirroring 0 went out.

what does that mean? is the drive gone? can i rebuild? and if so, how?

any suggestions will be appreciated.

ummmm, this is the Storage Area Network/Network Attached Storage forum. There is a General Hardware forum forum602 that may be able to help you more on the hardware side.

If your mirror is degraded, 1 drive has failed and you will need to get a replacement disk so that the RAID can rebuild.
