QUICKTIME TO AVI

I work on the mac, but although PCs have the quicktime software, it seems that the quicktime format is not cross platform, my question is :
- do I have to convert my quicktime movies to AVI ? if yes, please tell me how )
or is there a way for a quicktime to be viewed on pc ?

Quicktime on the PC simply requires that the end user has it installed (just like on the Mac). there is lingo to check for the Quicktime version so you can tell people who have an old version if they need to upgrade. If your creating a CD you can include the Quicktime installer on the CD, if you can dig through Apples terrible web page to find the version you are allowed to distribute.

Conversion to AVI is best done with just about any video editing software. You can probably also get file format converters specifically for the task.
