quicktime publishing

When I try and publish as a quicktime to have my video playable, it will play and navigate between scenes, but it eventually locks up and I get an error msg. As far as I know the manual says this is the only way to include video in Flash. I know how to do this in Director, but I'd really like to get this straight in Flash. Thanks for any suggestions.
