Hi all.
I've just used the Button tool to embed a movie into my Indesign CS2 document. I've exported it and made sure that interactive elements is selected in my export options.
When I launch the PDF and click on the area to show the movie it says "The media requires an additional player....." I have Quicktime 7 installed on my Mac so what's the problem and how do I fix it?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

hi,

got the same issue, found this article at the adobe site

Media files don't play with QuickTime 7 (Acrobat 7.0 on Mac OS X)

Issue

When you try to play use a QuickTime movie (for example, an MOV or AIF file) in Adobe Acrobat on Mac OS X, you see an error:

-- When you try to play a QuickTime movie you see, "The media requires an additional player. Please click "Get Media player" to download the correct media player."

-- When you try to insert a movie using to Movie Tool into a PDF saved with Acrobat 6 compatibility, you see "There are no media handles. Please install handlers before using this feature."

Details

You have QuickTime 7 installed.

Solution: Use an earlier version of QuickTime.

On Mac OS X v10.2.8-0.3.9, install QuickTime 6.5.2, available from the Apple website at

Important: You cannot run the previous version of QuickTime on Mac OS X v10.4.

Background information

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 is compatible with Mac OS X v10.2.8 - v10.4. However, an issue prevents the playback of QuickTime content embedded in PDF files when using QuickTime 7 Player on all supported versions of Mac OS X. Adobe and Apple are working together to correct this issue

we'll just have to wait until they solved it.
