Trying to convert clips from Avid Media Composer 7.1 (Mac OS 8.1) to QT Movies for I-DVD. Export from MC using Avid codec. It makes a .moov file fine - Quicktime opens it and it looks great. But when I then use Quicktime 4.1 to export that file as animation sequence it gets more than halfway through the export, then gives a message saying I have an error -1309. I have done this in the past without problem, and can't figure out what's going on. Have tried different files and different drives (Striped Avid drives 7.8GB partitions.) The .moov files are under 1GB, so I don't think it's the Mac 2GB limit. Disk Doctor says the drives are fine.
I noticed a bunch of files on the internal HD had modifications all on the same date, which I took to be a bad sign. So I threw out the Quicktime preferences file from the system folder. This helped, but only for one export. Then I was back to the same problem.
Ayone have any ideas? Thanks
