I'm having issues with quicktime videos not playing when I first click the quicktime play button. The bar moves, and I can hear sound, but I need to do something else like view source then finally the video image appears.

I created the QT videos from Final Cut Pro files in Media Cleaner. Video compressed with Sorenson 3, Sound codec is Alaw 2:1.

I'm on windows 2000/ie6/netscape4.79/netscape7/netscape6.23.

Other people have tried it and seems to work fine. Any ideas?

Are you embedding them into a webpage (i gather that from your post).

I never view movies in webpages, just download them to view later. Web pages are buggy to show multimedia content, since many times, they are not downloaded fully.

There are a number of things that can cause Netscape
to fail to display a QuickTime image until it gets a
redraw command.

1) Check to see if there is an align= parameter inside the
embed tag--this is not a supported parameter and NN
has real problems with it.

2) It's also inconsistant in its handling of embedded content
inside a table with align tags. Try taking the embed out of
any tables.

3) Make sure the height= is set to the movie height PLUS 16
for the controller, and the width= is the movie width. If there
isn't quite enough space, NN flexes, but gets confused.

Keep at it. This does work.
