Just a heads-up to multimedia webpage designers - the QuickTime 7 browser plugin won't play javascript mouse-controlled audio events in Windows XP. I don't know whether this is true in the Mac OS.

For example, this script, <onClick="document.sound.play()"> which plays an embedded .wav file perfectly well using any QT 6.x or Windows Media plugin, has no effect on QT7, just silence.

QT7 renders all pages with JS interactive mouseover audio useless.

If anyone discovers a workaround, I would love to hear it!

It took me a while to find it, but I new it was out there somewhere ;o)

Give the final solution from this thread a whirl... it might just work!

Hope this helps,

Thanks very much, Dan! That's PhD scripting and I'm still working on my bachelor's, LOL, but it gives me motivation to study and figure it out! Like Jonnn says, "I want your brain"!
