Hi all,
If anyone could answer me 1 hour I would be very gratefull...Got 1 hour to check if this is possible and then do it.
I've used sol9 & volume manager to create a stripe0 with 12 disks, but I didn't use mirrors or submirrors.....and now 1 disk has a %b queue of 100% and is bringing the system to a halt.
Since I chose the easy way when setting this up (no mirros, no hot spares, just 1 device with 12 disks) I think I can swap the disk with just a normal level 0 backup to tape of the faulty disk.
Reinstall the backup from tape on the new disk & the whole setup should be fine, including the stripe0 config.
Am I wrong or is this how to do it when you are a lazy bastard & didn't set up the stripe correctly _and_ now a disk is failing ?
Thanks!
