Hey all,

Not sure this belongs here, but I didn't find a forum that I thought would be more appropriate. A client uses Quickbooks 2006 and is going to be selling some of their product. However, they will not be able to have the computer they are going to use connected to the network at the time they are selling the stuff. Is there a way to let them enter invoices on the remote computer, and sychronize the database that night? They need to be able to make changes on the server concurrently. In the past they didn't need to make changes in both places, so they just copied the remote database over the one on the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Danny

They do not have a POS. They normally sell wholesale, but every year in the fall, they have a sale to the public. In the past, they were small enough that everyone was used during the public sale, so they just input the data directly into Quickbooks and when they came back, copied the updated database over the one on the server. They now have people whose only job duties are working in quickbooks, so they need to be able to make changes both remote and on the network and sychronize them together.

I am new to quickbooks, so if I am not clear, please let me know.

Thanks,
Danny

I used Quickbooks previously, and as we grew, I ended up bringing in a new accounting package that supported our enterprise. I would check out Intuit's website and look at the Enterprise version of Quickbooks. That may be your solution.
