I am having trouble installing Quickbooks 6 on my Windows 2000 machine. I get the error message: WOWEXEC cause a GPF in module KRNL386.EXE. I have also tried installing Quickbooks 6 on other 2000 machines and I get the same message so I have a feeling it has something to do with Windows 2000 and 32bit drivers.
I do have a copy of Quickbooks 2001 but it an upgrade copy and I have to have Quickbooks 6 installed. Is there anyone that knows a away around the update or knows how to install Quickbooks on 2000.

From Quicken website: seems they will give you a key to allow you to install the program without installing the previous version

If you are upgrading from a Macintosh or DOS version of QuickBooks or you do not have your installation CD or disks from your prior version, use the online Key Code Request procedure:

1. Visit the Key Code Request page at 2. Click the Request key code online hyperlink, and then complete and submit the QuickBooks® Replacement Key Code Request form.
3. You will receive a new key code within one business day.
