QuickBooks 2003, Error 1402 1

I need to script Quick Books Pro 2003 for the already users of quickbooks prior version.
I have QuickBooks 2001, Quick Books 2003 and Quicken 2002 already installed on my machine. I have Quickbooks 2003 scripted install but when i'm trying to install it i received an error "Error 1402, could not Open Key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\EventSystem\....". I recaptured the whole package but same error. It is working fine on a clean machine which is not having any prior release of quickbooks and quicken. Please advise.

Remove the line from your registry portion of your package.

I do not believe an application needs to write in the eventsystem key.

Very true. Sounds like you have a dirty MSI. Look through the registry and remove entries that are not related to your app. Coomon instances are printer info, winlogon iinfo, drive mappings, etc. Also make sure that things like environment variables, etc are not being written through here.
