Is there a quick way to do this? Like hold down the mode button while powering on or something like that? I've got a 2900 I received as a replacement from Cisco. I think it's got some wierd configurations going (defaulted to 10mbps or something, it's VERY slow) and I don't want to go through checking everything just to change a couple things.

The only way to reset the switch is to go in and erase the config file from NVRAM. There is no external way of reseting it, becuase then what would be the use of the "enable" password? If it was a replacement switch from cisco then they should have at least reset the enable password, but if not then you can do a password recovery and reset the config that way. There is a FAQ I wrote in this thread that gives the link to the Password Recovery procedures for all the cisco product line. Hope this helps....
