Hi all.

I have a question about saving printer settings using quick sets in WordPerfect. It always says, no matter who logs on... (i'm paraphrasing :)) "This option is not available because you do not have permission to save system settings."

I guess it's not really a WP issue, it's a system issue. How do I change my system settings to allow me to save quick sets??

Thanx!

You administrator has to set the permission for the folder that contains the settings.

Another option is to set your print options by a macro when printing.

First, I am the administrator. Where is the folder that has the settings?

Second, I tried to do a macro and it printed but it wouldn't print the settings that I chose when I recorded the macro.

Any more help??

You mean it didn't print using the settings I suppose. Post the code and I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.

Sometimes, a recorded macro does not record everything. One has to use SendKeys() to send your selections in dialogs like the PrintDlg(). Some versions of wp has had problems keeping the settings. Try a custom Page definition with your settings.
