Quick question SMDR

when trying to view the report from the SMDR port using hyperterminal do i need some other program to view the out put if so where can i get it. hyperterminal says im connected to com1 but there is no info in the terminal window

No other program is needed, but i believe you need a 355af adaptor to connect properly.

yeah im pretty sure im connected properly i made the adapter with the pinouts i foung on some other threads here but still nothing i also tried hooking up a vax terminal and that didnt work either

I have a similar problem with this phone system. How do i connect the SMDR port to my computer. And then how do I get the computer to log the reports? I tried to connect a printer to the SMDR port using a 355a connector, but that did not seem to generate anything. Thanks!

I use Procomm Plus 4.8 for Partner SMDR. It will capture data and save it to a text file.

HELLO EVERYONE AND THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP BUT I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT THAT BOTH THE SMDR AND THE ADMIN PORT ARE BAD ON MY ACS SO WERE SENDING IT BACK AND GETTING A NEW ONE BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THE BACKUP AND RESTORE PCI CARD FOR THE ACS R7
