hi
quick question number #1
can i have a phone that operated in a hunt group, automatically record messages
without having to press "record a call"?

apparently thats too hard of a task for some

thanks in advance

You really need to get some information into your thread.
What system (assuming BCM as this is the BCM forum) but what flavour, release, colour, taste ...you get my drift
I am not really a BCM or Nortel guy but think that you will get better answers if you include this information rather than getting questions about it back.

fair enough, got in front of myself this morning
bcm50, rls 6.0 all patched up
client actually wants the "calls are being recorded" announced in greeting
and then when an option in ccr tree sends call to the hunt group the calls are automatically recorded

i don't play with that feature much, though this customer is asking more and more questions about it

thx

I think you might need to play with the Professional Call Recording feature. I've got it to automatically record any call I make from an extension, but the called or calling party doesn't get the option to be told that calls are recorded, but I think you could get bleeps to play every 30 seconds etc.

It might be possible to get the incoming call to be answered in voicemail via an announcement menu that informs the customer that their call is being recorded, before bouncing off to an extension that has the PCR enable

Take a look at a guide I did.

thats the name of the feature?
i've only used the record a call feature on a button
i'll read up on that
thx

Professional Call Recording is done through the BCM side and not Callpilot
BEM/Telephony/CallRecording
Choices are Computer (I dont know how to set that one up)
Email

I use the email to a gmail account.

Callpilot

"record a call feature on a button"
No way to auto record as you kinda knew.

Feature 989
If you do use the button method then a suggestion is to:
Answer the call, press it before conversing, wait a moment for announcement to finish(you both will hear it), then say hello to the caller.

Allow and Silent or Announced warning is done in Class Of Service.
