whats the names of the cable i need to buy?

my video card has tv-out on it and i see a similar connection on my tv

Generally you will need an RF (Coax) cable if it says TV out. However without knowing the Video card make and model it would be hard to give you a deffinate answer. Take a look at and see if it matches the connectors on your TV and Graphics Card.

If that doesn't match then you are either looking at S-video or Composite

its def the s-video judging by those pics, thanks again you're very helpful

Umm - I'm not 100% sure

The first is a Male to Male cable, however most S-Video cables are this configuration, as are component cables.

I would say that they likely are both the same as if it was a cable with a male and a female end then it would likely be described as an extension cable like this one
