Hi
i re deployed a bcm that was functional for a few years at another customers
(they went hosted voip, instead of bcmvoip)
and the new customer is rural, extremely rural
and bell ran their analog lines into the building with no lightning arrestors
and every time theres a storm, line one (and only line one gets all "staticy"
and they have to power cycle the bcm to clear it
i'm trying to set up remote access for me so i can attempt remote mtce on the port
in my opinion its the lack of lightning arrestors
anyone else have a different opinion?
any thoughts are appreciated
rr

ps it is really had to find arrestors these days??? i found apc has some....the usual ones bell uses (corning is one provider) is hard to get my hands on (other than hijacking a bell truck, though i heard from a bell guy they don't usually have them in the trucks anymore

perfect...except amazon won't ship to canada hahaha
found it on evilbay though
thanks, thats a way better solution than the apc one

thank you
rr
