The taskbar on the desktop recently doubled in size. Attempting to resize causes the cursor to form the adjusting arrow, but has no effect on resizing. I unchecked Show Quicklaunch and this allowed me to resize the taskbar to it's normal size but when I again check Show Quicklaunch, the taskbar doubles in size. I tried checking and unchecking Lock the Taskbar with no change in the problem.
Next step - Right click in the toolbar and left click PROPERTIES.
Check boxes which are checked are:
Keep the Taskbar on Top of other Windows, and
Show the Clock
Next, I tried draging the vertical dots - 4 dots & 3 dots to the left of the "open program" icons on the bottom row but they don't move either.
Finally, I verified that the VIEW option was set to Small Icons.
I know this is a problem since I've had single line taskbars for years with Quick Launch enabled. Any Ideas?
