I am setting up a few kitchen printers at a restaurant. Prior owners cut the CAT5 in the kitchen...they will need to be extended. There are RJ-45 to serial at the print server and the Kitchen printers have RJ-45 to Parallel adapters. I have found some info on the pinouts for the adaptors, and I assume they are set to use standard 568B wiring schematics, but I don't like to assume. When I extend the cables, do I just use the standard CAT5 connections like I was making a network cable, or is there a different color code for running serial printers? Thanks
