Hello, I am not super familiar with roaming profiles and so forth but I had a question from someone and I didnt really know how to answer it.
It was, when a user is away from the network and not vpn'd or anything and making changes to files and then saving them they had wanted to move them into a different folder. So they moved them (they were on his desktop and I know thats one of the things that gets saved with your profile) I assumed the reason they ended up being placed back in their original location was that it did not get to sync with the server their new locations.

The question I had was, shouldnt it be ok to save these offline and the next time you login/off it would update with the server? Also, if you made changes to the documents or what have you, would these changes still be saved even though your "offline".

Thanks in advance for the clarifications!

The answer to all the above is Yes. (provided you don't have any issues with Offline Folder Sysnchronization). As described is how it is supposed to function.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
