lan (static IP's) --- Switch --- ADSL modem/router.

ADSL service suplied by BT (Dynamic Wan IP, their router)

I want to put a SonicWall Soho3 firewall in. Just want to make sure its possible to fit it in our current network. If I am right, the computers will use the Sonic firewall as their gateway.. then connect to the router/modem. How does the Sonic Firewall push the requests to the modem/router? Especially as the Modem/router is running NAT and I guess so will the Firewall?

Thanks,

Well, you can do a couple things. You can turn NAT off on the Bell supplied router, and give the Sonicwall a public IP with the actual Bell gateway.
Or you can just tell the sonicwall it's WAN interface is the LAN interface of the Bell Router. Just make sure they are in different subnets. If Bell is using 192.168.1.x for the LAN. Use 192.168.0.x for the LAN off the Sonicwall, or you will end up with routing issues.
Basically, to answer you question, the SonicWall will know to "push" requests to the Bell router because it is the SonicWalls default gateway....
