I have a contract to run Siamese cable for security cameras. It's standard RG-59 and 18-2 stranded wire. I normally use small (gray) wire nuts to connect the camera to the power, but I'm wondering if there's a quick Molex type solution or other plug-in type connector. The cameras have a hooded male power connector, I just don't seem to be able to find a source for the mating connector to put on my 18-2.

I'm checking ADI and Wm B Allen.

Each camera manufacturere will be a litle different. If you can get through the first layer of their customer support and enter an engineering request, they should be able to respond with teh connector type and manufacturer. They should even be able to provide a part number for the appropriate mating connector.

Some cameras use phoenix (euro) terminal blocks with detachable connectors. Others use a DC connector, and some just use screw terminals...Without seeing the camera or knowing the brand, it's going to be tough.

Go with what you are familiar with. I like the scotch locks myself.
