Hi All

IP Office 406

I'm looking at a way of connecting one outgoing call to another (probably using conference).

Plan is:
ME dials person A and talk
Me dials person B and talk
Link calls A and B to a conference
Call initiator (Me) DROPS OUT so they can use their phone and carry on working.

Conferencing works fine, but when I hang up my phone, as the conference initiator it ends all calls. Is there a way to get the switch to maintain the conference until parties A and B hang up.

If you use the DROP feature, it should drop just you out of the conversation, but I would test it first.

Hmmmm...no way to access it from Phone Manager Lite?

Don't believe so. Phone Manager Pro has it. The 5400 phones have it, or you could program it as a button on any phone with available buttons. (Emulation - Drop)

Actually if "drop" works like in the Definity's, it will drop the last person you added. In a Definity, call person A, call person B, conference, then hang up.
