Quick Area Template question

Hi,

we are currently constructing our Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 - what i need to find out is about creating an area template.

We have a top level area called 'clients' and under here, we have got many sub-areas pertaining to each client, which will essentially have the same structure in each.

I've found lots of articles about creating area templates which is all good, however the area i want to template is heavily nested with multiple sub-areas and sub-areas of these sub-areas.... if i create an area template, are the sub-areas and sub-areas of these all included?
