Quick and Easy Way to Network 2 Win2K Pro Machines?

I am looking for a quick and easy (aka: Cheap) way to network to Windows 2000 Pro machines. I had an old USB solution before I upgraded from Win 98, but this particular product no longer works under 2000.

I would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction.

If you have a couple NIC's, I would suggest simply making a x-over cable (CAT V). Bingo! Your networked - Cheap too! You can also do some tricky things with an older NullModem Cable, but I think your best bet would be the x-over calbe.
