Quick Access

Having problems with quick access. Running winspm v.7. Quick access is not available (button stays grayed out) tried upgrading to v.8 and v.9. Same problem. Have tried connecting directly to the admin port. Winspm works except for the quick access option. Also can't disconnect from Merlin by clicking on the disconnect button. Have to actually pull the plug. Any ideas? All help will be appreciated.

You cannot use Quick Access in WinSPM if you have some older modules installed in the sytem like an 800 GS/LS module, a 400 GS/LS TTR module, etc.

Besides - Standard SPM mode (where it emulates a 20L Operator phone) is much faster than Quick Access. In fact, I always check the box under Settings/Options to start in standard SPM mode.

As for your disconnect issue - you may have to be patient. First press Quit, wait a few seconds for the activity to die down, then press disconnect - and wait for the software to disconnect. Otherwise - it is easy to get a modem hung-up.
