Please call me asap at 631-741-8443!

I'm now getting System Unlicensed on my display after initially being unable to record voicemail, then removing it, copying it but not changing it, which first displayed Voicmail Not Running, then after another shutdown, unchecking read-only on the system folder on the SD card, and re-inserting it.

Help! Please!

What is the software version that the IPO is running?
Do you see the card when you put it in a cardreader?
Format and recreate the card with manager.
Just have a copy of the card is enough for the config and or voicemail files.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I have IP Office 8.1(53). I was mistaken when I wrote that I had the original SD card back in place when I saw the System Unlicensed on the screens. After nothing was working to get rid of the Voicemail Not Running message, I had tried the copied/sandisk SD card, and that was what was showing System Unlicensed.

The original card, back in place is not showing that, but is still showing Voicemail Not Running, which is still critical for this location, which uses the Auto Attendant to answer calls.

I'm still squeamish about formatting my only real IPO MU Law card at this point, where at least the phones, if not the voicemail/AA are working.

Hooray! Now were back to the original problem— instead of the one I created!

I'm no longer getting the Voicemail Not Running error when pressing the voicemail button, since doing a combination of removing the read-only attribution the 'IPO MU LAW\system' folder on the original system SD card, moving a couple of files office the SD card, to free up some room, and also running File > Advanced > Memory Card Command > Startup.

I had tried separately to do all of the above, but the screen still showed Voicemail Not Running.

Now I'm seeing the original problem they were talking about- voicemails getting chopped up as if sections of the voicemail were cut, so that there isn't silence, but skipping of a fraction of a seccond here or there. This can make the voicemail either a little annoying, or completely unintelligible depending on what's left out.

This is still a lot betting than the voicemail and auto-attendant not working at all, which is what I was dealing with until just now, but it's not fixing their problem. This could just be a corrupt SD card, but the auto-attendant and outgoing voicemail greeting are working fine.

Do you have any ideas why this would be happening?

Sounds like your SD card took a beating.

Format/Recreate as tlpeter told you.
Load the files back when finished, or record new AA greetings if needed.

Kind regards

Gunnar
