Symptom:
No outbound or inbound mail. Internal mail worked.
Qmail smtp servicewas restarted and mailflow was recovered, but queued inbound and internal mail were received by the incorrect recipient.
Happened twice, February 26 and March 20, 2003
Duration of the crossed mail problem: 10 minutes each time
Workaround: On both times the problem was solved by restarting all Exchange services.
Changes before problem: In november, Qmail was added in front of IMC to use its spam filtering tools.
This issue will be resolved when with the information we have; we will make our best effort to determine what happened.
