The manual says you can have 4 QCC positions, is that because you can have only two each in a 412TDL. The manual also says the console has to be a 4424 LD+. Can you use a 4424D+ instead of a 4424LD+.

You can also use an MLX20L, if you have an MLX module in the system. The "L" in the model number indicates a large display, which is typically used by an attendant position. If the only difference between the 4424D+ & 4424LD+ is the display, I suppose you can. I don't have a reference at the moment to compare them, so you will have to do that yourself.

If you haven't implemented the QCC Option yet, DON'T!

The QCC would definitely require all 4424-LD+ telephones.

QCC's are something I avoid at all costs.

Basically they are only required when you have more lines to be answered than can appear on the line buttons of the phone.

Quite frankly, the only time I have seen this condition is when the operator position is used in an "ANSWERING/SECRETARIAL scenario.

QCC's are EXTREMELY LIMITED in what they can do.

So, unless you have the operator answering all calls for 22 or more incoming lines (which each have their own incoming number) I would advise that you stay away from the QCC ideal altogether.

This system is for a Medical Clinic. My plan is to create a call Queue group and have up to four attendants answer the incoming calls, which are numerous. The attendants would be answering five incoming trunks. The attendants make appointments, direct callers to providers, billing, etc and answer incoming caller questions. This is why I felt OCC would be the way to go.

Can't imagine a QCC for just 5 trunks. Make them DLCs with immediate ring, or put the trunks in a most idle calling group and make them members that are required to log in to take calls (and required to log in to receive a paycheck!)

Thank you TTT. Can the DLC be a 4424D+? The client really wants the Call Queue feature. Will the 4424D+ work fine with the Call Queue feature?

If the display set has enough buttons, it can be used for a DLC. You might want to review both DLC and QCC options and requirements in the Feature Reference Guide document for the Magix. You can download it for free: support.avaya.com.
