Queue Reports and log archiving questions...

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone has done this or thought about these things?

I would like to be able to create reports of email messages inside of queues. More specifically, creating a report (even a text report or listing) of messages in the Bad Queue before I go and delete the messages. This could be a very useful report to show to other admin/management regarding the effectiveness of Mdeamon's filtering.

Also, another thought I've had was how to acheive log archiving every month to a zip file in an automated way.

Any thoughts?

Use content filter for your 1st problem. And plz. can you explain your 2nd problem more.

Regarding the zipping and archiving the log files. you can tell mdaemon to auto zip and archive log files older than x days. It will perform this task at midnight. I think this is what you are looking for, unless you want the entire month in one zip file.

In ver 7.2.1, see Setup > Logging (or ALT + F7) > Maintenance Tab > bottom of window.
