Customer has a Magix 2.1 with Merlin Legend Mail in a Legend cabinet. Up to this point has had all POTS lines coming in. Last week we attempted to cutover to a DSS T1 (not a PRI). All worked well, except the queuing.
Previously with the POTS lines, call came in, if no one in the calling group (772) was available the call went into que where the caller heard the message on hold, which comes from an external device. Once someone in calling group 772 was available, the call rang at that available extension. Worked exactly as it should.
With the T1, call came in, if no one was available the caller hears continuous ringing until someone in the group becomes available. We made numerous changes, called our tech support, but to no avail. Nothing we did made any difference. We ended up routing the calls back through the POTS lines, and using the first 4 trunks of the T for incoming DID.
Please help! I'm sure there is some small (stupid) detail we're missing. Also, for those of you who've been doing this longer than I, are T1 cutovers always a pain? This is about my 4th, and there are ALWAYS issues, sometimes for days. What's up with that?????? Thank you in advance!!
