Does any one know if it is possible to print to several USB printers from PM at the same time?

I other words, can I install 4 Epson C82 printers to a USB hub with different names P1, P2 etc. and then tell it to print 50 copies of a job in PM, then once it has started, tell P2 to print 50 copies of the job at the same time. And so on.

Inkjet printers are cheap but slow, and I'd like to speed up the process by printing 50 sheets each on 4 printers instead of 200 sheets on one printers.

I have tried to print to my Epson, and then told it to print to my non USB HP LaserJet while it was still working on the first job and it allowed me to do that.

Anyone ever tried this.

Mike

Have you tried to print to both printers at the same time? I would suspect that you could, but not having a USB printer, let alone 2, I don't know. Best bet is to create some test docs and try to print to both simultaneously.

If your printers were on a network, then it would be a simple task to print to more than one printer at the same time. I do it all of the time. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I can print to my Laserjet which is not a USP printer and my Inkjet which is USB.

I guess I need to find out if my computer will recognize more then one USB printer as separate printers even if they are the same kind using the same drivers.

I guess I had better ask this on the hardware forum.

You can have several of the same kind of printer on your system as long as they are uniquely named. However, I am not familiar with how USB addresses units, so you might run into conflicts that way. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
