Hi,

I have free webspace with my ISP freeserve. The do not provide a cgi-bin or front page server extension support. Is there any way (or any software I can get) to create a discussion forum for my site?

Failing that, are there any free forum sites that do not plaster adverts all over the place?

For a free one, try they have alot of options, and not just for forums, but for alot of things... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

Nothing is for free in this world. The only way normally to get ad-free anything is to pay for it. Bravenet is your best bet as GUJUm0del said but you will get a certain amount of advertising there!

Have you asked your ISP for CGI access?

Its possible to get remote hosting of scripts, ie someone else will have the sciript on their server and you run it on your site, but again if you want it ad-free you gotta pay for it!

I have an XML forum (which I never tried to set up) but it has one cgi file needed to run it.
