Quick question,

We have a third party scheduler that we would like to use to schedule all of our jobs (not just sql). In SQL 2005 what permissions are required to be able to execute SQL jobs that were created by a different user?

Thanks,

SQL Agent Operator role in the msdb database.

If you are using a third party scheduler you probably won't be using the SQL Jobs at all and putting all the code for the jobs within the 3rd party scheduler.

Which scheduler are you using?

I was wondering if the operator role would do it or if that would only work for jobs owned by the account being used. Actually the application we are running creates the jobs so it would be easier to just call the job via the third party software (which is Tidal) than to recreate all the jobs.

The operator role should do the trick for you.
