question regarding reports/sub reports

I want to have a report pass a value to a sub report as a filter -- is this possible?

Basically the problem is that I have two fields I need to return -- one will have 2 values while the other will have 3 (hence the need for the subreport idea).

Would I have to use a form to capture the value I want to pass as a filter to the sub report?

Any help would be appreciated

The Link Master/Child properties automatically create a filter of the subreport records based on values in the main report. This requires exact matches. You can't use this method for "between ValueA and ValueB".
