I think that I have a R 1.0 card. It says Lucent Voice Messaging PC Card on it. Copyright 1997. It is pinkish in color. Sticker on front PBS72315. Sticker on back 98DR09.

Anyhow, from the menu prompts it appears to be R 1.0. No enter extension and #, just enter extension followed by password.

This card seems very limited in functionality, which shouldn't be a problem give the simple needs I have.

What I'd like to do is use this for home answering system. Only one mailbox. Only receive voice mail from outside lines.

Problem: It seems that the system wants to announce both the system greeting and the default (extension 10) greeting before recording messages.

Is there any way that I can have just a single greeting?

Remove the lines from group call distribution #206 the assign the line to line coverage extension #208. Make sure you have Automatic VMS cover #310 then you can use VMS cover rings #321 to set the number of rings before voicemail answers.
