Hi all,

Quick question, How can I display the amount of time the shell will wait for user input before the current shell is terminated using a variable? Thanks,

L

In other words... you want to prompt a user for input, but display a countdown timer, which terminates the script when it times out? Can you show us what you want it to look like to make it clear?

Thanks, I found the TMOUT variable which is what I was looking for, appreciate it!
