I need a little insight into how effective the Book feature in Adobe InDesign 2.0 can be for my needs. Let me explain mycurrent workflow on the project that I am tackling:

We are primarily a book composition production house and have recently begun working on a rather sizable InDesign project for a textbook publisher. A Unit in this book is divided into Lessons, which is how we have set up the InDesign documents (1 Lesson = 1 InDesign document). Our customer requested that we handle the page numbers through InDesign's Book feature, but we are running into some problems that we are wondering if there are some simple workarounds.

Firstly, if we have a multiple page document that has the text threaded from page to page and we need to delete a single page, is there a way to do this with a) deleting the text from that deleted page as well as the page itself and b) make sure that none of the items (pictures, floating, not threaded, text frames) do not shift there position when the page changes from a left page to a right page or vice versa?

Also, any other insight regarding the Book feature in InDesign would be a big help. Thanks!

a) and b) depend on how you set up your document. InDesign will behave just like Quark, PageMaker, and Framemaker when it comes to deleting pages.
