Hello all,

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide here.

I am working on a project involving Citrix Metaframe but my question is one involving Windows 2000 server. I am not terribly experienced with Windows 2000 so really I am only familiar with creating basic users/groups etc...

I am running a Windows 2000 network and I have a Windows 2000 Server and also a separate machine which Metaframe connects to for applications.

I would like to arrange it so that any Windows 2000 domain user who connects to the Metaframe machine will have such simple restrictions as:

Run command not available on the start menu....etc...

How do I configure the Windows 2000 server so that all domain users who connect will have such a restriction? Or is this possible? Even just explaining how I arrange it so that any user who logs in from any Windows 2000 workstation will have such a restriction would be great.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Regards,

Jason

Group Policy:

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove Run Menu from the Start Menu

Thanks for the response,

I did this but if I then log in to the Instrumentation server from any workstation the run menu is still available on that workstation.

What I want is to set options on the server (such as remove run menu) which will then apply to any user who logs in on any workstation.

Is this possible or is this a change I will have to make on the individual workstations the users may log in from?

I am only marginally familiar with the group policy options so any "dumbing" down will in no way offend my sensibilities :)

Regards,
Jason

Are those workstations members of the domain? What's the instrumentation server, the Citrix server?
