Is there a way that I can change the user's display setting on the fly? The site that I created looked awfully big on a user's screen.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you can't change a users machines display settings. if you could ther would be a major security issue involved. It's part of normal web designing conventions and standards to design your sites to reflect the possible screen resolutions.
You can specify a resolution that the site was written for and simply deal with users that are not willing to adjust to that resolution and lose that portion of business or viewers. That obviously wouldn't be very productive though in a business sense. A language that doesn't affect the way you think about programming is not worth knowing.
