I'm putting station 10 & 11 in a secure Non-public location and the rest out in a location as regular 2500 Analog sets where John Q Public can you them, can a Hacker change anything from one of the regular 2500 sets ?

They could only change something with that station. The only way i know to change system features is with 10 or 11. unless they could connect a modem to the line and get into the system that way.

well, I'm going to run the cord such that it would not be exposed to where john Q public could get at it, the hanset and dial pad will be the only things exposed, I also intend on adding quite a few numbers to the "disallowed list" to prevent people from making fraudlent calls,
so the disallowed list would stop 1900, 976, so even if someone managed to program a station speed dial the disallowed would block it

Disallow 76 (the system modem's extension) as well. Alternatively, you could simply NOT enter in a Remote Access password (#730).

Disallow 0, for operator assisted calls.

Disallow 1010XXX dialing as well.

Disallow known "dial around" numbers, such as 1800-CALL-ATT.

You can't disallow dialing Ext. 76, as restrictions only work on outside numbers, not internal numbers.

Someone who knows the system could lock the extension, forward or cover it, transfer calls, and there is a little known vulnerability with S/L stations of bypassing the toll restriction....

the phones that are out where John Q Public could get at them are for outbound calling nobody should be calling into the indivual phones, I hadn't thought about the 1010 numbers
