I need alittle pushing into the right direction on an extra credit lab im doing. I have a class c address of 197.63.51.0

There will be a main site, with two remote sites connected to it using this 197.63.51.0/24 address.

The lab requires 7 subnets. I took 4 bits from the 4th octet to get a /28. My question is this; when configuring the router interfaces I configured one router with three interfaces: 197.63.51.65, 197.63.51.34, 197.63.51.81. The second one is at 34 because it has a serial link to another router. I was just wondering, is it appropriate for me to go up one bit so there is no confliction with the router address and the network address?(instead of 197.63.51.64, 197.63.51.32, 197.63.51.80)

also, when i add router rip should i use 197.63.51.0 on all three of the routers for the network?

First of all if you only need 7 subnets why have a /28 mask, a /27 would work. Also, I'm not sure I understand your question "is it appropriate for me to go up one bit so there is no confliction with the router address and the network address?(instead of 197.63.51.64, 197.63.51.32, 197.63.51.80)" You have to do that, example:
197.63.51.65/27 IS in the 197.63.51.64 subnet.
If your IOS is 11.0 or earlier then you need to add the golbal command of "ip-subnet zero"
Your question of "should i use 197.63.51.0 on all three of the routers for the network?", Yes, you need to identify the classfull network you want to run RIP on.
ALso keep in mind that RIPv1 does NOT do VLSM Todd VanDerwerken, CCNA, CCDA
