I have a client that has a four port FLASH voice mail system on their MICS. They have, for a lack of a better term "split" the unit by having ports 1 & 2 answer 4 lines in an equivalance group (Line 001 to 004)which is referred to as "Team 1" and ports 3 & 4 answer another equivalance group (Line 025 028) which is referred to as "Team 2".
What is being requested is that the AA's answer the calls for each group respectively after 3 rings and have the calls sent to guest extension with a mail box so that it acts as a GENERAL DELIVERY MAIL BOX for each Team.
Is there a way of having the calls be answered and then sent directly to that guest extension and act as a GDMB (General Delivery Mail Box)?
I have set the Attendant for each table to the respective guest extension (Ext 290 and Ext 253) and set up mail boxes on each extension but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.
Suggestions?

Dan

You can't split the ports, but you can create two tenants by using both tables. Tenant 1 = table 1 Tenant 2 = table 2. Your scenerio will work, but you must disable the GDMB (mailbox 100). Be sure to CFNA the two extensions to the voice mail system.

Sounds like you don't want any calls to be answered by a human period, even if somebody wants to enter their spouses ext/dn # for an example......that's how you have worded it.

Well Curly Cord you are on to the right idea because it is a government office. Lol

Marv, how does one disable the GDMB and as well.... CFNA ??????
I have created two groups for the two office teams in the tables section, now I just need the tables to be answered by the respective mail boxes.

Thanks for the assistance, greatly appreciated.

CFNA is Call Forward No answer.

If you are sending a call out to a phone, it must be returned to the voice mail via CFNA. Programmed in the system, not the voice mail.

Thank you Marv. Sorry about that. I wasn't thinking at the time and right after I sent the reply it occurred to me what you were saying with "CFNA". Getting daffed in my old age.
Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to Curlycord!! Hope to chat soon
Cheers
