question on how to migrate to new DID's in callmanager

I am new to administrating changes in callmanger 4.1 and have recently given a new block of DID's to change all my users to. The old block was xxx.xxx.5000 numbers and the new block is in the 7000 range. I tried to line up the DN's to have the last two digits the same but not all line up. How would the best way to convert to the new ones. I wanted to just do a clean cut over to the new range but was told that i would have to phase them in with the old numbers still being active. I could use some advice on how to translate to the new range.
