So... I have customer who wants a loud bell to ring whenever ext 321 rings. I have an MFM - I am thinking I would just tell it it covers for 321 and a bell connected to the MFM would ring? Are there any specs on the bell or is it anything that plugs into an RJ11? I have never done this before and the feature reference guide doesn't really help. Any programming and/or hardware recommendations would be useful. Thanks!!

The MFM has 2 modes.

1) Analog Extension Mode

2) 48 Volt Signal Mode

If you use mode one, then you need a loud bell for a "REGULAR" T&R Phone (Usually not very loud)

Mode 2 allows you to use a 48 Volt Bell/Horn or Chime.

If you have any Analog Ports, you'd be just as well off getting a T&R Phone bell I mentioned above.

Either way, you will have to program what ever type of extension you use (MFM or Analog) to Cover Ext. 321.
