Question on Aloha EDC Version 6.4.2 or V6.5 Network Ping feature 1

Does anyone have experience with the EDC Ping feature described in the EDC Enchancement release v6.4? We lose our network connections alot, unhappy with delay with modem, and our reseller cannot positively answer these questions:

What does it do when the internet connection is lost? I'm assuming it puts it into spooldown but does it utomatically put it back out when the internet iw back up?

Has anyone used this feature and does it work like I described?

Yes. The settings will put edc in spooldown mode automatically and bring the service back up after the connection is resumed. The functionality works quite well.

If your site is connected to the internet, have it ping an ip address like yahoo or google. If you are part of a larger wan then pinging your main firewall is probably the best.

Do not ping your credit card provider's ip. They will take this as an attack.
