I just started working with Crystal Reports and need to edit a report made by our previous IT guy. I understand most of what is going on but I need to know what a ? means.

Any field prefixed with a ? is a parameter field. These fields are generally filled with values prompted by the user at runtime, or are fed in from another app.

The online help has some pretty useful help on this.
