Thank you "thekid",

You gave me some information in the thread titled "Windows 2000 Pro" and you mentioned how to trap LPT1 for DOS programs. I'd like to try your advice on using the net use lpt1 command, but I'm not as savvy with this as you obviously are. I would appreciate if you could elaborate a little more on where I would enter this command and if there are any other commands I could possibly use in this way.

Do you need to print to dos programs? If so:-

Click on start - run and type in 'cmd' and hit return. The Dos window will appear. type in 'net use lpt1: \\computername\printername' where computername is the network name of the computer, and printername is the share name of the printer. The printer share names needs to be dos compatible (8 characters long, no spaces etc...).
