Hi,

We have a BIG problem with BAOF.
By simply installing BAOF on a server (not running), all .pdf files generated by a DMS application (DOCSFusion from Hummingbird) are corrupted after a shutdown / reboot of this server.
Most surprising : the same .pdf file, copied "manually" (drag and drop) in the same sub-directory in the file system is OK after the reboot!!!!

The configuration is the following:
ARCserve 2000 server is running on the same machine as Fusion (machine 1).
BAOF Agent is installed on a remote server (machine 2) on which Fusion copies pdf files.
All servers are installed in W2000.
Servers are Compaq DL380 with hardware RAID 1 (machine 2) and RAID 5 (machine 2) with a Smart CARD.

Could you help me please Guru?????????

Best regards,

JYBI

What have you tried in your attempts to resolve this issue?

Does DOCSFusion have any entries in the enironmental variables, or is the pdf path configurable in any way (maybe registry)? IF it is configurable, try changing the path. Also, what happend to the pdfs if they are produced to an alternate drive?

also, are you sure it's the BAOF which is corrupting the files? Just making sure....

Hello,

We did all kinf of tests: re-installing the "archive" server from scratch; installing all applications step by step and proceeding to tests at each step. There is no doubt that what causes the corruption of the pdf files is the simple installation of the BAOF agent on the server.

Our application (DOCSFusion) is one of the world leading DMS application. It is running on thousands of sites and never encountered any problem of this kind. This does not prevent us from continuing to investigate this way.

We have read in other threads that BAOF modifies the registry. Is there any way to know exactly which parameters of the registry BAOF modifies while getting installed?
